Cute Onigiri | Kawaii Amigurumi Crochet | DIY

Hello everyone!

Another kawaii Amigurumi tutorial for you guys. I wanted to make an onigiri and finally I was able to figure out a pattern to make it. This crochet tutorial only requires you to know how to crochet in round, so it is a pretty easy crochet project for beginners.

MATERIALS:

white yarn
black yarn
crochet needle
2 eye beads

ABBREVIATIONS:

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dec = single crochet 2 loops together
sl = slip stitch

INSTRUCTIONS:

BODY:
1. 2 ch
2. 6 sc into the 2nd chain from hook (round 1 = 6 sc)
3. 2 sc in each loop x 6 (round 2 = 12 sc)
4. 1 sc, 2 sc in each loop x 6 (round 3 = 18 sc)
5. 1 sc in each loop (round 4 = 18 sc)
6. 1 sc in each loop (round 5 = 18 sc)
7. 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc in each loop x 6 (round 6 = 24 sc)
8. 1 sc in each loop (round 7 = 24 sc)
9. 1 sc in each loop (round 8 = 24 sc)
10. 2 sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc in each loop x 6 (round 9 = 30 sc)
11. 1 sc in each loop (round 10 = 30 sc)
12. 1 sc in each loop (round 11 = 30 sc)
13. 1 sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1 dec in each loop x 6 (round 12 = 24 sc)
14. 1 sc, 1sc, 1 dec in each loop x 6 (round 13 = 18 sc)
15. 1 sc in each loop (round 14 = 18 sc)
16. 1 sc in each loop (round 15 = 18 sc)
17. sl and cut the yarn off leaving a sufficient amount of yarn to stitch the bottom of onigiri
18. fill up the body with stuffing
19. stitch the bottom close

SEAWEED:
1. 8 ch
2. 7 sc starting from 2nd chain from hook, 1 ch, flip your work
3. Repeat STEP 2 about 12 times
4. sl and tie off

ASSEMBLE:
1. Attach the seaweed to the body with some thread or glue
2. Glue on the eyes
3. Add the cheeks
4. Sew on the lips
